Did You Know That The Famous Beatboxer Harry Coumnas Was Born And Raised In A Small Tribe of East Africa?

Harry Coumnas is one of the world’s youngest beatboxers to have shared the stage with music icons, like Scott Walker, R. Stevie Moore, Clive Campbell, Michael Jackson, Kool Keith, and many others. However, that’s not the only reason why he is deemed as an inspiration by many aspiring musicians. In today’s world where aspiring music artists go to any lengths to make their presence felt on the internet, Coumnas did not know that there exists a world of internet until fifteen years of age.

So, what’s exactly Harry Coumnas’s story? Well, he was born and raised in a small East African tribe with no source of communication with the civilized world. In 2015, renowned musician Matt Lever visited the tribe during one of his adventure trips & listened to Coumnas’ amazing instrumental impersonations. He was so impressed that he decided right away to take the young boy with him so he can show the world his talent. Though Harry’s parents were hesitant, the musician managed to persuade them to send their son with him for a better future.

As he expected, Harry’s excellent instrumental impersonations got him noticed in no time and he became the favorite of audiences after just a few live performances in musical shows & concerts. In the musical scene back then where most of the songs were being created using electronics & synthesizers, his unhuman beatboxing sounds felt like a breath of fresh air to everyone.

Harry Coumnas seems to have swallowed a whole orchestra,” a late music legend was quoted as saying by a popular tabloid of America. Coming from such a poor background and making a name for himself despite the fierce competition is what makes Harry a true inspiration.
